Katelynn Messina – Athlete Biography
Katelynn Messina is a senior and a member of the varsity softball team.
Messina has made many accomplishments on the softball team over the many years of playing. She has worked hard for her position as a right out field player. A right fielder is the outfielder who plays defense in the right field, right field is the area of the outfield to the right of a person standing at home plate and facing towards the pitcher’s mound.
“I play softball for myself, no one inspires me,” said Messina.
Being a senior and having many years experience means that Messina has a lot of knowledge about the game.
“I’ve played softball since six grade,” Katelynn said. “It’s always been a passion of mine.”
She is looking forward to playing her last season, but is sad to see such a big part of her life go.
“I don’t prepare myself for games, I just try my best every time,” said Messina. “If I do something wrong Coach Rich Rush is always there to help,” added Messina.
Messina is looking forward to playing with her team until the end of the season and is hoping to make it to sections and maybe even WPIALS.
