Johnathan Wolfe – Athlete Biography
Johnathan Wolfe is a junior and a member of the varsity football team.
He plays the position of fullback and linebacker; he has held both positions for 3 years. These positions require strength and power so that the halfback can have a clear path and keep unwanted passes from happening. Wolfe betters these skills by practicing approximately 3 to 4 hours a day.
“Football helps you learn how to work with a team,” Wolfe said.
Wolfe mentioned that he would like to hang out with his friends more, however due to conflicting schedules it does not happen as often as he and his friends would like. Not only that, but Wolfe sometimes has to stay up late to complete homework after practices; and with little recreational time, Wolfe has his entire schedule pretty much dedicated to school-based activities. Yet despite all that, he has decided to keep on this path and remain loyal to football.
“My two older brothers, Nathanael and Ian” was Wolfe’s response to who had encouraged him to play football.
So perhaps it is due to his loyalty that Wolfe remain in football? Or perhaps it is for the chance to one day have the matches against Riverview and OLSH swapped with Carmichael and Beth Center? Either way, Wolfe still plans on continuing down this path he has created.
After asked what he wanted to do after high school, Johnathan Wolfe said he wanted to “go into the work force or go to college to play football and wrestle.”
Wolfe is excited for this season as well as “winning as a team.” So be sure to wish luck to the team, fight through and go get them Rockets!
