Anna Uveges – Athlete biography
Anna Uveges is a sophomore and a member of the varsity volleyball team
Uveges takes on the position of middle hitter and takes on the number nine. Uveges is very tall for a girl of her age. Her favorite thing about the volleyball team is how close they are to each other she said, “they are like family to me.”
“I love our coaches because they push the team to be the best that they can be,” said Uveges. “Everything can be improved, there’s no such thing as too good and the coaches recognize this as well as the players and that’s why we push each other so hard because we know we can always do better,” added Uveges.
Uveges hopes to do exceedingly well this season and prove what she’s worth to the coaches. Uveges is most excited to see whats going to happen and how its going to turn out for the team in the end.
“I can’t wait to see how the Carmichaels and Gibel game go,” said Uveges. “They’re two of our biggest rivals and they’re both extremely talented teams,” added Uveges.
Uveges has practiced on the off season by playing a summer league at the Washington Bronson house with some of her teammates.
“Volleyball is not as hard as people say, you get better the more you play just like any other sport,” said Uveges.
Uveges hopes to end the season winning sections alongside her biggest supporter, her grammy Barb.
