Haley Guty is a senior and a member of the volleyball team.

As a player since seventh grade, inspired by her older sister, Guty typically plays setter but she is able to play any position. Despite this talent, she wishes to only focus on college rather than sports after graduation.

“I like volleyball because it’s a very fun sport to play and you make friends” Guty said when asked why she enjoys the sport.

Haley Guty  also said that game days excite her most about the season. Not only that, but she also said that the teams she watches for new techniques are Waynesburg, Carmichaels, and Frazier.

After being told to give advice to people who want to sign up, Guty said “do it because you make new friends and it’s very fun to play.”

“There’s no ‘I’ in team” was Haley Guty’s final quote in reference towards the sport that has brought her closer to people and teaches her to focus on bettering her mistakes.
