The song I’m writing about is by Billie Eilish and is called “Happier Than Ever.” Eilish’s album “Happier Than Ever” was released July 30th, 2021. The album was published by Darkroom/Interscope Records on Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube Music, and iHeart Music.
Upon release, the song received critical acclaim from music critics. These said critics admired the song and said, “its resolute portrayal of teenage stardom contrasted its muting sound.” At 4,942,000 EAS, Happier Than Ever is among the 10 most successful albums from 2021. It debuted atop the Billboard 200 with 238,000 album-equivalent units. You can listen to this song on the apps that I listed above, and in CD form as long as record form. Both range from $15-$100.
The song “Happier Than Ever” is unsparingly honest, and Eilish opens up about her relationship, which she was not happy in. The song also mentions fame taking a toll on pop stars. The song states, “So don’t waste the time I don’t have. And don’t try to make me feel bad.” Eilish is talking about how “miserable and manipulative” her past relationship was.
I absolutely love this song, truly everything about this song is amazing. Towards the end of the song, when the beat drops, it actually gives me chills. The whole album is really good, of course “Happier Than Ever” being my personal favorite.
As I have said, this song is quite amazing and I definitely recommend it to everyone.
