In San Francisco, Prunedale on September 6th, a California man went on a three hour shooting spree. He ended up killing eighty one animals in the process! A 39 year old man by the name of Vicente Arroyo was a little deranged and went on an animal killing spree. Sheriff deputies had arrested him and took him in for a court hearing on Thursday for the shooting of domesticated animals.
As claimed by court records, Arroyo had killed 14 goats, nine chickens, seven ducks, five rabbits, a guinea pig, 33 parakeets and cockatiels, a pony, and 2 miniature horses. Some survived, but had been put down later on due to the severe injuries. Arroyo’s lawyer William Pernik claimed he was worried about Arroyo’s mental health. It was then passed to the judge for a mental health evaluation. He ended up being allowed 2 weeks of a mental health evaluation.
Later on he ended up being charged with a handful of charges. Some of them being animal cruelty, illegal possessions of an assault weapon, possession of drugs, vandalism, and criminal threats. He was held for a $1 million dollar bail and two weeks mental evaluation. In conclusion, Arroyo was under the influence of drugs and ended up holding accountability for the killings.
