Summer Daze
There is no better feeling than waking up on Monday morning without hearing an alarm clock going off at 6 a.m. Actually, going outside and laying by the pool under the sun might be just as good. For students at Jefferson-Morgan, June 4th will be the start of their yearly happiness.
Since summer is when the nice weather occurs, there are a tremendous amount of activities available to do. Most people are going to be doing fun stuff such as swimming, tanning, going on vacation, playing sports, and going to exciting places. I personally love going out on the river to wake board. Wake boarding is super fun because there is a whole river and that gives the wake boarder ample amount of space to do what they want. Also, riding on jet skis is one of the craziest but funnest thing to do on the river. During this summer, there will also be a River Fest taking place. At the River Fest, there are many food booth, games, bands and other activities. This is a two day event and occurs on a Friday and Saturday.
One thing that I only do in the summer is tan. This is something that I only do in the summer because it is kind of hard to tan when there is not any sun and it is not enjoyable unless it is warm outside. My favorite spot tan is by my pool, on my deck while the radio is playing. Most of the time I usually have raspberry lemonade and some type of snack to eat, too.
Summer time is the time of the year where most memories are made. Mainly because it is nice outside so there is so much fun activities to do. People need to remember that sitting in front of the TV, on a video game, or on their phone can be done at any point during the year, so they need to make the best of their summer vacation.
