Morgan Simkovic named Clarksville Lions Club April Student of the Month
Morgan Simkovic, daughter of Carrie and Jerry Simkovic of Waynesburg, is Clarksville Lions Club April Student of the Month. Morgan maintains a 4.08 GPA.
Simkovic serves as president for both student council and Interact club, and she is vice president for Leo Club. Morgan is a member of the National Honor Society, Envirothon, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and yearbook.
She was named the Herald Standard Centennial Scholar Athlete and is the Tri-County A.D Scholar recipient. She is a four year letterman in volleyball and softball, and a two year letterman in basketball.
Recently, Morgan was selected as the American Legion Essay contest winner for Greene and Washington Counties. She also received the Student Forum Scholar Leader Award.
Simkovic serves on the Colby’s Stars Foundation Committee. Her volunteer service includes ringing bells for the Salvation Army, Volunteering for TRICADA Athletic Director golf outing, Walk For A Cure for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, participation Kicking Cancer’s Butt Kickball Tournament for Colby’s Star Foundation, Powder Puff football tournament for Ronald McDonald House, Catholic Charities Angel Tree Project, and Green County Humane Society. She is a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
In the fall of 2016, Morgan plans to attend Slippery Rock University as a pre-physical therapy student with a major in exercise science.
