Jefferson-Morgan Centennial Lions Club has selected Carrington Teasdale as its student of the month for September.

A daughter of Kristin Haywood and Brandon Teasdale of Rices Landing, Teasdale is a senior at Jefferson-Morgan High School where she maintains a 4.45 GPA.

Teasdale is President of Student Council, National Honor Society, and Leo Club. She is also involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters, Foreign Language Club, Peer Mentoring, and SADD.  She is captain of the volleyball team and volunteers as a statistician for wrestling.

Teasdale participates in the Keep America Beautiful roadside cleanup camp campaign, packs backpacks for the school’s weekend food program, and rings bells for the Salvation Army. Last fall, Teasdale coordinated National Honor Society’s participation in Catholic Charities Angel Tree Project.  She was selected as the 2018 Lions Club District 14M Leo of the Year.

In the fall, Teasdale plans to attend Duquesne University where she will study nursing with the intent to become a nurse anesthetist.
