During the season of October everybody is getting ready for Halloween. One preparation that is very popular is pumpkin carving. Kids and even adults buy pumpkins to carve cool faces or designs on them. This fun activity has been going on for generations and is a good thing to do for the whole family. I enjoy doing this each year and have been doing it since I could walk.

Carving Halloween pumpkins is a great way for people to create their own spooky decorations.  This activity is a great way to bring the family together. All it takes is a pumpkin, carving tools, and an imagination. Students today even carve pumpkins for the fall season. To carve a pumpkin, the first thing that needs to be done is cut the circle around the top. This will allow access to get all of the seeds out of the middle. After everything inside is removed, drawl the design that you would like to cut out. When the design is drawn, begin cutting out your design or face. When the face is cut out, remove the pumpkin that was cut. Put a candle inside and watch the pumpkin light up with creativeness. After every pumpkin is carved it is fun to sit back and look what you have created. In my family we like to take the seeds that we got out of the pumpkin and cook them. It is so exciting to do when the season comes around.
