Thanksgiving Weekend
The greatest thing before November ends is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for what we have and for the world we live in. Thanksgiving is the greatest eating holiday ever, the turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. It is all so good and when the holiday comes around I can already taste the turkey. It is a holiday to be happy. Football games are going on and preparation for hunting season starts. All of the family comes together for a good weekend.
For Thanksgiving this year my family had a turducken. A turducken is a turkey stuffed with a duck, and a duck stuffed with a chicken all in one. It is really good and is something different. We got out the day before Thanksgiving which was a Wednesday. We didn’t go back to school all the way until Tuesday because of the start of rifle season. For rifle season this year I lucked out on killing a ten point buck. It has been a while since I have killed a buck on the first day, and it brings back memories from my first time hunting.
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, not because of the food, but because of my family coming together. All of my cousins come into town and we all hang out together. After stuffing our faces with turkey we get out the guns and get ready for Monday. I went out this year with my pap and lucked out on a big mature buck. My sister killed a really big buck as well. A buck that I have been chasing all season and I am happy she got it. It was a happy Thanksgiving and break from school to spend time with family.
