When the month of December hits, the thing on everyone’s mind is Christmas. Everything shifts to that subject, everything from lights to television adds. During the holidays, television programs like ABC Family have a special called 25 Days of Christmas. They televise Christmas movies every night from December 1 to December 25. People are going shopping to buy presents and kids are excited to put out the cookies and milk for Santa when he comes down the chimney. The best part of Christmas is picking out a tree that will stand in people’s houses for everyone to put their presents under. The season can be a little hectic with everything going on, but it is about being joyous and with loved ones.

Christmas time for me is a blast because of everything that is going on. Every year the day after Christmas me and my dad go skiing and stay all the way until New Years. I love being with my family through the holidays and eating a nice dinner on Christmas Eve. There are so many memories that I have of the holidays. The holiday season has changed for me over the years. Loved ones have passed and it is a big effect, but there has been a new member of my family. He is my nephew, Levi. Having him now for Christmas reminds me of how I was when I was only a year and a half old.

Christmas is the time to be joyous. Another year has gone by and it is about being with friends and family. Kids are full of Christmas spirit and getting there Christmas lists ready to give to Santa. The trees go up and the lights go out. It is the most wonderful time of the year to be in.
