Darkest Dungeon Game Review
Darkest Dungeon is an unpredictable and tense puzzle game for PC. This game is all about survival in the darkest dungeons while trying to maximize your own odds of survival through gameplay. This game has some unique features most people will like and it has good mechanics. The game is easy to learn but hard to play. Darkest Dungeon is an unforgiving survival game.
Darkest Dungeon is a game which features four playable characters. The different thing about these four playable characters is that they each have seven sets of unique skills. The player can only have four of the seven skills equipped at a time. Skills are also able to be upgraded and unlocked through gameplay. This teaches the player to have each character set for specific roles that will be very important in the future of the gameplay. Certain skills can only be equipped depending on the placement of the other three characters. This game really focuses on keeping track of the player’s four characters.
This game features a lot of quirks that will either negatively or positively affect a character’s skills. While being in some dungeons, a hero’s specific set of skills may be weaker or more powerful. Each character also has five positive and five negative traits. You can only hold up to 25 of them though, Keeping track of all of them is a big task.
Darkest Dungeon also has a lot of debilitating components in the game. A character can catch diseases that will cause the characters to weaken for a good amount of time until they are either treated or it wears off. A good way to prevent the diseases and harshly affective quirks is by leveling up and making your characters more powerful. This will cause the characters to become less likely to disease and take less damage from enemy attacks.
Darkest Dungeon is a very well put together game. What the player does in the game affects the future. There is a lot of different tricks and surprises this game has to offer. This game is pretty challenging until you level up and gain experience. This game is rated 9.1/10 by IGN.
