My Final Farewell

My+Advice

Being a senior and it being your last everything is a blessing and a curse, but I would not trade any memory of my high school years for anything. None of the underclassmen understand how lucky they are that they have the next few years of high school and can play sports, because at that point they do not understand how precious time is. As a senior, it is hard to watch freshmen athletes blow off time that should be spent in the gym. I would love to be in their shoes again and starting my high school athletics all over again. Through the years, you do learn a lot about people in general and you mature (somewhat) as the years go by. As for sports, playing in high school is so much fun in my opinion; you create all these memories that will stick with you forever. My advice for underclassmen is to not take anything for granted. High school is where you will have some of the best memories of your life, and more often than not, kids take that for granted. It is not so much about the sport itself, but more about the memories that you make with your team. You will remember moments with your team more often than you will the games. So my advice to juniors and below, do not take it for granted. Senior year comes up fast, so take full advantage of every opportunity possible and create memories with friends. Before you know it, life will start happening and you will have to grow up and start thinking about what you want to for the rest of your life.
