Right after Thanksgiving everyone gets ready for Christmas. People will go black Friday shopping and spend hundreds of dollars on loved ones. Some just out on black Friday for the fun of it. Once December hits, joy and happiness spreads. There are many activities that others will do in December right before Christmas.

There are holiday festivals and concerts for the whole month. Ice skating rinks will finally be open and there will be places to go to see lights and Christmas trees all around. Every year during Christmas, there will be a light up night in Pittsburgh, PA. There will be ice skating around the large and colorful tree right downtown. A good place to see lights and Christmas trees would be Oglebay. Oglebay is located in Wheeling, West Virginia. There are many events that go on at Oglebay but the main one would be the Festival of Lights. The Festival of Lights is a long road that has twists and turns but while on that road, everyone rolls down their windows and looks at the light show that they have on display.

When anyone goes to Oglebay, there will be different packages. Anyone could just go to see and visit the lights while anyone can also buy an overnight package. There will also be Breakfast with Santa, Santa’s Reindeer Training School, Christmas at Crispin, and much more fun holiday activities to do. The overnight package includes staying the night in one of their beautiful hotels, for however long, and getting to go to any holiday activity the next few days.

Christmas is said to be the most wonderful time of the year and getting out and going with family really helps to make it better. December an be very cold and chilly but when everyone is together and drinking hot chocolate or even just watching holiday movies, it can always turn into one of the best times.
