On April 27th Jefferson-Morgan will be taking some of the high school students to attend a mock crash at Trinity High School.

“A mock crash is a pretend car crash scene with medical & police personnel,” said Mr. Corbett.

SADD and AAA are the sponsors for the mock crash. Mr. Corbett hopes that at least forty students will attend and go to the mock crash on the 27th.

”The whole day students will be listening to different scenarios and learn how to react to them,” said Mr. Corbett.

Jefferson-Morgan has set up this event to teach awareness. Hopefully it will show all the students attending that in order to avoid crashes, injuries, and even death they need to be careful and cautious whilst driving.

The students from Jefferson-Morgan who were chosen to attend the mock crash were not chosen at random. Mr. Corbett stated, “The selected students who were chosen to attend are students who have taken the online Drivers Ed. course.”

There are other surrounding school districts that will be participating in a mock crash as well. Trinity, Washington, Beth Center, and Ringgold school districts will also be participating.

Mr. Corbett hopes that Jefferson-Morgan will attend a mock crash again next year.
