Hola from Senora McCrory
Mrs. Kellie McCrory is the high school Spanish teacher at Jefferson- Morgan High School. She has taught Jefferson-Morgan High School students for four years. She sponsors Spanish club where students can enjoy fun activities involving Spanish.
McCrory grew up in California, Pennsylvania. She graduated from California High School. Her dream job was not to be a high school Spanish teacher but to become an occupational therapist or a dentist.
When not in school, Mrs. McCrory enjoys listening to 90’s hip hop and alternative music, being a dance mom, tap dancing, fishing, gardening, and riding motorcycles with her husband.
“My job as a Spanish teacher is maintaining a safe environment for all students, developing teaching curriculum for all Spanish classes, building relationships with students, and planning activities and fundraisers for the Spanish Club, said McCrory.
She enjoys the culture of Mexico and Spain, and she has travelled to both countries. She likes to teach the language and to introduce Spanish culture to her students.
“I love seeing the “ah-ha” moments on students’ faces when a concept is grasped, but most importantly JM has a wonderful family-like atmosphere and the administration goes above and beyond for both staff and students,” said McCrory.
For students who may be taking her class for the first time, Mrs. McCrory offers this advice: “Be organized, always tell the truth, and do not procrastinate!”
