JM Welcomes Speech Language Pathologist Mrs. Faieta
Rachel Faieta joined the Rocket staff in August 2021.
As a Speech Language Pathologist, Faieta diagnoses, treats, assesses, and prevents speech and sound disorders and supports language development for K-12.
She enjoys working with a smaller community as she grew up within a smaller school.
“I love working in the smaller school community. Growing up, I also went to a small school, and I enjoyed establishing real relationships with my teachers. I want to be able to establish those same relationships here,” said Faieta.
Faieta grew up in Fredericktown, and she graduated from Beth-Center in 2011. After high school, she earned a B.S. in Recreational Therapy from Slippery Rock University. She also earned an M.S. in Communication Disorders at California University of Pennsylvania.
Her favorite hobby is baking. She makes everything from scratch and specializes in cupcakes and pies. Her dream job would be to own her own bakery.
Mrs. Faieta and her husband Gino have two Dalmatians, Remi and Rizzo, and a cat, Carlton.
This year she helped participate in giving Christmas cards for Amedisys Hospice patients in both Greene and Fayette County. She notes that from both the high school, middle school, and elementary students were able to send two hundred and sixty-two cards to the patients.
Mrs. Faieta continues to be inspired by a quote from Boy Meets World. The character Mr. Feeny encouraged students to “Believe in yourselves. Dream. Try. Do good.” She heard this advice as a child, and she believes it can apply to any period of life.
