Making the Years Better

Something good that has happened this year is that I played my first year of volleyball as a freshman with some of my best friends. This year I was very nervous to play volleyball, because I thought that I wasn’t going to good enough to get time in the game and get better, but I was so wrong. All of the girls were so supportive and always there to help when I had a question about something or I needed help learning something new. Between the laughs, smiles, team members, and coaches I couldn’t have asked for a better freshman year. Although we didn’t do as well as I thought, we still had a pretty amazing year. Volleyball has been a huge part of my life since middle school. When I play volleyball it calms me down makes me feel like nothing bad has ever happened in my life. Volleyball has also brought me closer to people I would have never thought I would be friends with. It also helps me learn new things from other team mates and have the best time possible.

Something I hope for the new year is to become a better friend, daughter, sister, granddaughter, and student. Each year I try to better myself in what I do and how I do things. I want to help my mom out more around the house, spend more time with my little sister and brother, go and see my grandparents more than I do, and work harder in school.
