Eye Contact
I just feel like this is a big problem because no one makes proper eye contact. For me I feel like it is a respectful thing. If you have enough respect for someone then you will look them in the eye. While talking to someone, you shouldn’t be staring off into space or fidgeting with things, they should have your undivided attention. Often times I avoid eye contact because of the awkwardness and intimidation. People get intimidated so they don’t look at you, but you think they are being rude. Sometimes it is just a matter of how the situation is dealt with. With proper eye contact you would learn that no matter what you should always look at someone. If worse comes to worse it could be explained why, instead of just showing no sign of interest even if it does actually interest you. I also feel like society has forgotten about this because we don’t do too many face to face talks anymore. There is so much new technology we don’t even bothering talking. Just sending a quick text can eliminate all of the awkwardness we face. Society has so many advances and we don’t take the time to learn what is proper and improper, so that’s another problem. If we would take the time to learn these advances things would be better.
