Jefferson-Morgan leased laptop computers through LAM systems for the start of the 2014-2015 school year.

“We purchased about 120 new laptops,” said Mr. Shingle.

“The difference between these new laptops and the old ones is that the new machines have much better processors and twice the RAM. They are also military specified to withstand damage from drops, shock and humidity.”

Although the laptops are new, Mr. Shingle confirmed that Windows 7 is the operating system installed on each.

The laptops were purchased as an equipment refresh. The previous laptops were five years old and were reaching the point of obsolescence.
