Paving the Way for the Future
With the many wonderful changes that the school has gone through, one extremely important one has gone relatively unnoticed. Over the summer the parking lot of the Jefferson-Morgan School District was resurfaced. The parking was tarred and chipped and was freshly lined. Now students don’t have to worry about the landmine like potholes or the sea of slippery gravel.
Not only do drivers benefit from this recent resurface, but the marching band also benefits greatly from this change. This is also a huge improvement from the slippery and muddy midget football field to a crisp and obstacle free parking lot to practice that is already accurately painted and does not require constant maintenance.
Unlike the midget field that the band used to march on, the parking lot is always usable for practice no matter rain, snow or shine. This change also gives the school a significantly better image because it improves the school’s general appearance and image of a more friendly school.
On behalf of the student body, I would like to thank our school board and administration for allowing this to happen. Thank you for making our hopes a reality.
