People were shocked when Donald Trump’s conversations with foreign leaders became leaked. This was shocking because conversations like these are some of the most withheld secrets in the government. These conversations were said to have been leaked in an attempt to embarrass the president.

Besides what was said in these conversations, the idea of them being leaked was extremely alarming. How is the president suppose to feel if he cannot hold private conversations with world leaders. According to Fox News, “One or more people, in either the State Department or the White House, wanted to damage Trump by portraying him as a rampaging bull breaking the diplomatic china.”

The president himself told the National Prayer Breakfast, “When you hear about the tough phone calls I’m having, don’t worry about it. Just don’t worry about it. They’re tough. We have to be tough. It’s time we we’re going to be a little tough, folks. We’re taken advantage of by every nation in the world, virtually.”

People all over the world are shocked that the phone calls even managed to be leaked. “It freaks me out that those phone calls are so easily leaked,” said sophomore Tyler Woolen. Some feel that things like these should be much more private, and if left at easy access could impose a serious threat.

“I think it’s extremely careless that the conversations were leaked,” said sophomore Brody Mazurik. “These phone calls could contain very important things like codes, or sensitive material about something overseas. This is not material that should be public for everyone to see.”

President Trump advises the people of our country to not worry and says that he has everything under control. Though, some still worry if the president is truly thinking carefully about his decisions.
