In high school many students think that they as students do not have to try. It seems to be a pattern that when a student is a freshman they do not take high school seriously. Most students start to take it seriously when they are junior and seniors because that is when they start to think about college. Some students do not take high school seriously ever. Having these out looks hurt your future.

Taking high school seriously is the best and most mature move you can make while in high school. Students do not think that their freshman grades matter. When all in reality it does. When students take high school seriously all four years they have better opportunities. Students that have high grades have a higher GPA that helps out when students are trying to get into college their junior and senior year. Also taking your classes seriously students perform better on their SAT’s. GPA and SAT’s are very important some colleges lean toward one more than the other but they are both equally important. Also students that have high grades they can get more scholarships that will help out a lot in college because some college can be very expensive.

As a student that did not take my freshmen and sophomore years seriously I have suffered as a senior. Many college opportunities were not open for me. That happened mostly when it came to scholarships and most of them you have to have a certain GPA to qualify. A student’s high school is a cause and effect type of deal. If students take it seriously and they should they will get many opportunities to brighten their future.
