The Cheesecake Factory, located in Pittsburgh, PA, has a wide variety of dishes on their menu that fit the wants of both adults and children.

The idea of The Cheesecake Factory began when Evelyn Overton began to make her own recipe cheesecake. Overton originally had a small cheesecake shop located in Detroit, Michigan, but later stopped due to her needing to raise her children. Overton and her husband decided to leave their hometown and move to Los Angeles, California. In 1978, Overton’s son, David, opened the first The Cheesecake Factory in Beverly Hills, CA which the restaurant gained popularity, and now has over two-hundred restaurant located all over the world. David is still the current CEO of the company.

On the menu, there are fourteen different categories. The pricing on the menu ranges from $11-$30.

One of the well liked appetizers is their Hot Spinach and Cheese Dip. This appetizer has spinach, artichoke hearts, shallots, garlic, mixture of different cheeses, and tortilla chips and salsa on the side.

One of the most popular dishes is the Shepherd’s Pie. This dish consists of ground beef, peas, carrots, zucchini and onions in a mushroom gravy covered with a mashed potato Parmesan cheese crust.

Another well liked dessert is the Fresh Strawberry Cheesecake. This dessert is an original recipe cheesecake topped with glazed strawberry.

At The Cheesecake Factory, reservations are not accepted during dining peak times such as, weekends, evenings, or holidays.
