Jessica Torres has been selected as a recipient of the NMSI Stem Star Award.

Daughter of Richard and Lorraine Torres of Mather, Torres is a junior at Jefferson Morgan High School.

Torres is a member of Leo club, student council, and Spanish club. She is a member of the basketball and volleyball teams.

She feels the most rewarding part about taking AP classes is challenging herself to work harder.

Torres is enrolled in AP Language and Composition and AP Computer Science.
