9th Grade Students Greene County Career and Technology Center Tour
As a part of the Pennsylvania state-mandated Guidance Plan for career exploration, all 9th-grade students will be riding the buses to the tour of the Greene County Career and Technology Center on Wednesday, October 23rd from 8:00-11:00 A.M.
The Greene County Career and Technology Center is an educational facility founded in 1970. The Greene County CTC offers 13 professional programs to both high school and adult students from five local school districts; Jefferson-Morgan, Mapletown, Carmichaels, Waynesburg Central, and West Greene. Students have the opportunity to earn college credits through their program while still in high school through Greene County’s CTC participation in the Statewide Articulation Program. Career-minded students can take advantage of important career training and employment opportunities offered through the school, as well as their program’s offered professional certifications. The mission of the Greene County CTC is to provide quality career-technical education programs and services that prepare youth and adults for success in the workplace, post-secondary, and community, now and in the future. Approximately 350 secondary students are served annually! The Joint Operating Committee, consisting of one member from each of the five sending schools, is the governing body of the Center.
