Armond Jacobs is a senior and member of the basketball team.

Jacobs has played basketball for two years, all of which were his choice because of his love of the sport.  

“I’ve played for two years, mainly because I love it,” says Jacobs.

When asked what the most rewarding part of being a member of the basketball team, here at Jefferson Morgan, is that he has the ability to be on a team that is so family based and really brings everyone together.

“These boys are my family,” says Jacobs.

Advice can be uplifting or tear you down, for Jacobs the best advice he has ever received would be, “Put You Into The Game”. He obtained this advice from a former coach of his. Jacobs had a few words of advice for the younger JM Middle School basketball team.

“You boys have to work harder, the harder you work the more successful you will be,” advised Jacobs.  

Being on the team is great, but sometimes the weather can be an issue for players.

“If it’s too cold outside I have a hard time play because I shake a lot,” Jacobs is not alone on that one, as players like: Lebron James and Stephen Curry have taken to using Vaseline to keep warm.

Basketball is a family sport and senior Armond Jacobs is happy to be a part of the team. He enjoys playing and giving his younger brother, Tahj, and the other members of the middle school team tips along the way.
