Justin Tift – Athlete Biography
Justin Tift is a freshman and a member of the Jefferson Morgan High School Football Team.
Tift has been playing football for seven years with great amounts of time spent in both middle school and midget football. Tift also participates in the J-M Marching Band which helps build his coordination and cooperation with his team both on and off the field.
When asked why he started playing football, Tift said, “I have always had an interest in the sport because it’s really fun to play and watch.”
When Tift plays football he is always the first person to take the defensive tackle position and when the Rockets asked him to take that position, he was more than happy to oblige.
When asked what he likes most about playing football Tift replied by saying, “My favorite part of playing football is when it’s game day because it’s exciting when I’m on the field.” This is especially so when he’s playing because he knows all of his friends and family are cheering him on.
The most difficult part of football in Tift’s opinion is contitioning due to it being straight running for about thirty minutes a practice, for the most part Justin enjoys football.
“My life has gotten significantly better, I am more physically fit than I ever was both mentally and physically,” Tift said.
Once he graduates, Tift sees himself continuing his football career hopefully as his fulltime job.
