Ayanna Davis is a junior and a member of the girls basketball team.

Davis played basketball throughout middle school, but this is her first year playing on the varsity team. Her position is guard and forward, and she enjoys the position that she plays.

Davis says, “My ultimate accomplishment would be being able to get back out on the court because I am still not cleared to play.”

When asked what game she was most excited for this season, Davis said it was their game against West Greene because their basketball team is their biggest competition in her opinion.

“Basketball is my favorite sport and different from other sports because it’s a contact sport, and I enjoy it,” says Davis. “It’s just better in my opinion.”

The best advice Davis has been given by a coach or mentor is to have fun and play together as a team because you cannot do it by yourself.
