Dustin Schimansky – Athlete Biography
Dustin Schimansky is a junior and a member of the Jefferson-Morgan Track and Field Team.
Schimansky has participated in the Track and Field for three years so far and has lettered all three years.
Schimansky said, “I decided to join track due to the many exciting events such as the 110 metal hurdles, high jump, discus and shot put.”
Track practice starts every Monday-Thursday and usually lasts one hour and thirty minutes at Parker Field.
Schimansky also said, “The hardest thing about track is messing up on an event and not being able to try again.”
There currently are nine different teams facing against the Rockets this track season that are trying to take first place.
“The track team does not have any rivals,” said Schimansky, “However I always look forward to facing Wash. High because they’re good competition.”
Schimansky plans on practicing track over the summer, to the his very best next season.
