Morgan Kendall – Athlete Biography

Morgan Kendall is a senior and an outside hitter for the volleyball team.
This season, Morgan would like to achieve one specific goal of making playoffs with the team. Morgan’s position is outside hitter. When asked about what she thinks the hardest part of volleyball is, she replied, “I personally think that the most difficult part of this sport is serve receive.” She thinks that this season, the team will do pretty good overall with a strong chance for section champs. Morgan is really looking forward to this upcoming season.

Morgan has participated in this sport for many years including middle school. To this date, Morgan has played volleyball for six years. She said that she first started playing volleyball because she thought that it looked like, and ultimately, it was, a lot of fun. Morgan’s favorite memory while playing volleyball is when the team beat Carmichaels last year so that they could get into playoffs.

Morgan’s favorite gym to play at is Jefferson-Morgan. The teams’ biggest rival, according to Morgan, is Carmichaels. Carmichaels is also Morgan’s favorite team to play against. When asked what her favorite game is, Morgan said, “My favorite game was the game against Mapletown. That was one of my best games so far.” Advice that Morgan has for upcoming athletes is for them to keep pushing themselves at practice.

After high school Morgan plans to attend California University of Pennsylvania for nursing. She does not plan on playing volleyball beyond high school. Morgan is looking forward to making one last year of memories with her teammates.
