Madison Clayton – Athlete Biography

Madison Clayton is a freshman and a center forward for Waynesburg soccer team.

This season Madison has a few goals. “My main goals for the season are to make playoffs, win sections, and to have the most goals in the section.” Since she has set these goals, Madison has continued to work hard with her teammates and coaches to improve herself on the field. She is really looking forward to this season.

Other than just playing on soccer teams, Madison also attends camps. This summer she went to the women’s WVU team camp. She also participated in a Region 1 camp at the University of Rhode Island. Madison learned a lot a new stuff at these camps and had tons of fun as well. She hopes she can attend these camps again in the future.

Madison has a few rituals for when it comes to soccer. She states to “always straighten my hair before I play. I make sure to be wearing pink pre-wrap. I also feel the need to wear some white tape on my left hand.” These three rituals make her feel more confident when it comes to playing.

Madison has been playing soccer since she was 5 years old. This year marks her ninth year of playing. Madison is pretty positive that she will play after high school. She is hoping to get a D1 scholarship.
