Christmas is my favorite time of the year, and my favorite holiday. The family aspect and joy of the season makes it so enjoyable. I also seem to be a happier mood during the holiday season. With it being my favorite time of the year, several of my favorite memories have been made during Christmas.

As we grow up, Christmas changes for us. We start focusing less on the gifts under the trees, and more on the things that are truly important, like family being together. This is why I would say that my new favorite Christmas memory is one that started last year. With my brother being a college athlete, he is rarely home for more than a day or two in the school year, but during Christmas I was reminded of what it was like to have my whole family together. My brother typically comes home on the weekend, and it seems my whole family is always busy so we never just get to be around each other. That’s why when he comes home for a week on Christmas break, and we all have time off, I enjoy just getting to be around my family. It reminds me of all the Christmas memories from the past, and keeps how we are growing up out of my mind. Although, things are always changing and we are always growing up, Christmas time in my house is always the same. The time I get to spend with my parents and brother reminding me of how great my family is would have to be my favorite Christmas memory.
