A topic of debate that comes up during Christmas time is if a person should decorate their tree in white or multicolored lights. People decorate their trees during the Christmas holiday for many reasons such as to celebrate Jesus’s birthday or just because they want to get in the spirit of the holiday season.  Someone might base which lights they use due to their meaning and what the lights represent. White Christmas lights are supposed to represent purity and equality where as multicolored are more for extroverts. A person who is an extrovert could be described as a more outgoing and friendly person who would probably chose the colorful lights over the white. Even though lights have certain meanings a person may solely decorate their house in white lights because they like the elegant and clean look or colored lights if they like the colorful and fun look. It really just depends on the person’s personality or what look they prefer.  Today it is common to see a mixture of types of lights during the holiday season even solid colored lights like blue appear on trees. Blue lights signify wisdom and honesty. It just depends on what look or belief a person prefers when deciding what lights they want to put up.
