Christmas Trees
Real Christmas trees are big business; farms around the country grow huge trees and customers put them in their house as their Christmas tree. Some people might not want to go all out and get a real tree, but either way it’s still a way that we Americans celebrate Christmas. Artificial trees are cheaper, but they still show off the Christmas spirit in decoration. Real Christmas trees are more expensive than fake trees that are sold in the store. One reason that real Christmas trees are better is because plastic trees are toxic, and have carcinogens that can lead to cancer. The fake Christmas trees have been linked to many health problems in animals, such as kidney and liver damage. A draw back from real trees is because they are treated with pesticides and other products to keep animals away from the trees. Pesticides are dangerous to anyone, or anything that inhales or swallows stuff that comes loose from the tree. A reason to buy a real tree is because it’s Eco-friendly besides the pesticides. It’s almost like you’re taking in the tree for the winter, and giving it a place to sleep for the coldest part of winter.
