With the Holiday Season in full swing, many people are on the search for fun Christmas Activities for the whole family. This time of year, Pittsburgh has a great variety of things for people of all ages to participate in.

The first activity is the PPG Place, which is a business complex in downtown Pittsburgh. It is a beautiful building that resembles a type of glass castle, and looks Christmas ready year round. The PPG Place has an outdoor ice skating rink that surrounds a beautiful 65 ft. lighted Christmas tree. It is the perfect place to enjoy ice skating for the Holiday Season.

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens are another wonderful place to feel festive this Christmas. Each Winter, the conservatory shows off the Christmas colors through their colorful poinsettias, winter flowers, and beautiful evergreen trees. They hold a Winter Flower Show, Winter Light Garden, candlelight, and live music. The garden will be open fro November 24th through January 7th. Santa Clause makes an appearance every weekend, and will be there the full week before Christmas for photos and visits.

Kennywood will also be holding a Christmas event this year. Kennywood’s Holiday Lights transforms the amusement park into a beautiful Christmas light display. The park will display thousands upon thousands of lights. This park also has many events scheduled throughout the park during this event including a light show every 30 minutes, the lighting of their Christmas tree at 5:45 p.m, visits with Santa, and many other activities.
