Shelby Burkett is a sophomore and a member of coed varsity rifle team.

This is Burkett’s second year on the team.  

“My best score so far is a 100-8x; I can improve on relaxing more and not stressing out about each shot.”

There’s some that may not fully understand the basics of  rifle. This sport requires each member of a team to shoot at a sheet that has ten small targets.

For anyone wanting to join rifle, Burkett has given some advice.

“At the beginning of your rifle season, you aren’t going to shoot the best at first, but after practice over and over, you’ll get better.”

Burkett has not been associated with any other clubs of which are involved with rifle. 

“I think that everyone on my current team is very good. So far, we have had a great season.”

Burkett looks forward to a great season, and she hopes for the best for everyone on her team.
