Too Much Homework?

If I could change something at my school, I would change the amount of homework students receive every night. There are eight periods in a normal school day. There are only eight hours of school everyday, Monday through Friday.Teachers will most likely assign an assignment every night for each class period. I think there is too much homework given on a regular school night.

I would change the amount of homework the students receive on a school night because the teachers give out too much work. This is a big issue for people who are busy with their everyday lives also. Most students play sports or are in a club, so that takes time off of the rest of their day. Students today become very overwhelmed when they think of how much homework they have to do. Students have too much homework that is not productive because they rush through it so they have enough time to do the other amounts of homework. This is a big issue in our school. When students have a lot of homework, they stay up late to do it. This then causes them to come to school very tired and unproductive. Schools should only limit the amount of homework to only three times a week. This would give students to have some freedom to do what they need to do after school.

I would change the amount of homework students receive every night because this is a very stressful thing. Students worry if they are going to be able to get their homework done every night and still have some time left to do other things. There are only a certain amount of hours in a day, and homework shouldn’t take it all up.
