Caroline DePhillips named Clarksville Lions Club September Student of the Month
Clarksville Lions Club has selected Caroline DePhillips as its student of the month for September.
DePhillips, daughter of Kandy Camps and Robert DePhillips of Waynesburg, maintains a 3.04 GPA.
Caroline serves as editor-in-chief for the Jefferson-Morgan Rocket Reporter, Jefferson-Morgan School District’s student run newspaper. She is a three-year journalism student.
DePhillips volunteers for spaghetti dinners for her church, Washington Alliance Church.
While a member of The First Church of the Nazarene, Caroline earned the Bresee Award through her participation in Caravan, a Christian Scout-like program. The Phineas F. Bresee Award is the highest award an individual can receive in Caravan.
After graduation, DePhillips plans to attend a mission trip. In the fall, she plans to attend Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, and major in Intercultural Studies for missionary work.
Emily Palone is a senior and a third year Journalism student.
