Jefferson Morgan Centennial Lions Club has selected Adysan Kern as its student of the month of November. Daughter of Jeremy and Marti Kern of Waynesburg, Kern is a senior at Jefferson Morgan High School where she maintains a 4.4 GPA.
Kern is drum major of the marching band and a captain on the varsity cheerleading squad. She is president of the National Honor Society, secretary of the Leo Club, and secretary of Waynesburg First Church of the Nazarene’s NYI Council. Kern is the secretary-treasurer of her class.
Kern was named the 2023 Greene County Fair Queen. She is a WVU High School Access Student, Secretary of the Envirothon, Science Olympiad, Debate Team, and Spanish Club.
Kern volunteers at the Greene County Historical Society and helps out with Waynesburg First Church of the Nazarene’s youth group.
Kern was named a Top 10 Finalist for the Challenge Program Student of the Year, a National Math and Science Initiative Stem Star Award Recipient, Jefferson-Morgan Leo of the Year, and Penn State 4.0 Club.
After graduation, Kern would like to attend Penn State Main Campus where she will major in pre-dentistry. She plans to become an orthodontist.
