Hundreds of Lives
Even though I am a busy high school student with little time on my hands, I still try to find some time to read. I have to find some way to relieve all the stress received from school so, personally reading does the trick. I love reading at any time or anywhere. Mostly, I have a lot of work throughout the week and just want to relax or watch TV during the weekend. Reading can be calm, soothing activity that I believe everyone could come to enjoy if they had the right story.
When I read, I do not really have a preference. I will read a romance, a horror, or a sad story as long as the story is interesting. I tend to lean towards the romance side but, in all honestly who does not love a cute story about a couple who maybe met 10 years ago and, when they met again life is just sunshine and rainbows? Books can tell stories within stories and take you places you might never get to go. I get jealous most of the time, on how the main character has an interesting double personality or an awesome power that they do not reveal until the last second. The interesting part about writers is that they are all different so, no story is the same. No matter who you are there is a book out there for you.
My favorite part about reading is when I can find a book that I can’t put down. I can get so into a book and just read for hours on end. The book that makes you cry, laugh and just put you into a better mood are the reasons I read. During the winter, I just love curling up in blankets with some tea and an amazing book or series. The only bad part is if I get too comfortable and end up falling asleep or accidentally read a page over and over. One of the best parts about reading is that not only do I live my life but, hundreds of others.
