Surprise Visit From My Pitt Panther

Senior Night was held October 14  for the football team,  I was looking forward to watch all my senior friends walk down the field. During the second quarter, I glanced down at the bleachers and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. My best friend, Hannah Agnew, came home from college! I was so happy to see her and we gave each other the biggest hugs. I haven’t seen Hannah since she left for college which was the week before school started. I didn’t get to hang out with her much since see was babysitting her nephew.

At the end of the game we took a ton of pictures together and made plans to see each other and catch up. We made plans on Sunday right after I got off work.  It was my idea to go get our nails done but it turns out that Waynesburg nail salon was closed, so instead we drove all the way to Uniontown. Hannah told about her college life and how great Pitt University is. She said that she likes it so much better up there than being down here in Greene County, which I don’t blame her.

We arrive at Uniontown and the nail salon was also closed. At this point, we were annoyed and just decided to go to Olive Garden to get some coffee and dessert.  Once we got to Olive Garden, I told her about what’s going on in my life and what has happened since she had left.  We arrived back at my house and I had to hug her goodbye, it was bittersweet having to tell her goodbye, but I know I’ll get to see her again real soon.

At the beginning, we were worried that being so far apart that would damage our friendship. Hannah has been telling me that she wants me to apply to Pitt, so that we would be together next year and spend our college life as one. I told her several times  it would be highly unlikely that I could get into Pitt University but it could be worth a try. I know if I don’t attend the same school as Hannah that we will still stay as best friends.
