Out in the Wild
Even though summer has ended, over the past weekend I went to camp. It was unlike I had ever seen before, and so far the best time of my life. A weekend getaway or a week gone with friends or someplace new is an adventure just waiting for everyone. In my opinion, no matter who someone is they should go to camping. Going somewhere new is always fun, mysterious and adrenaline running all at the same time. It might be scary at first, but a few days can change someone’s outlook on every thought they have had. A camp, especially one where no one knows you, is the best place to be you.
A camp can teach a person life lessons. Someone can learn the importance of friendship and how it is okay to open up to people, because there still are nice people out there. Camp teaches self-confidence and the freedom to be you. Camp teaches that it is okay to be you, no matter how weird you think you are. It shows survival skills, depending on the camp someone goes to. Boy scouts or girl scouts could always prepare someone for anything that they came in contact with. Camp is a safe place for everyone with journeys just waiting to go on.
Camp is also a fun and adventurous time. Camp lets people ‘live’ on their own for a while without their parents. Someone could do activities they have never done before, or even try new foods. Camp allows people to go new places and enjoy the simple scenes of life. There are many activities one can do, even if it is trying a new sport for the first time. Camp is an amazing place for people to become the better versions of them, and make lifelong friends along the way.
