Vans Warped Tour is a rock festival that has toured the United States each summer since 1995.  Warped Tour is the largest traveling music festival in the United States, and is the longest-running touring music festival in North America. The very first Warped Tour took place in 1995, and the skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans became the main sponsor of the tour, also Journeys and Monster Energy sponsors.

Vans Warped Tour has originally features alternative rock bands, but in 1996 began focusing on punk rock music. Over the years the genres have changed. The tour doesn’t have a certain way of being set up; every show at every venue has a different layout depending on what band you are or who you are. For example, last year Jeffree Star had a cosmetic tent set up in all pink.  The venues are set up early in the morning and taken down usually during the last show of the day.

Since I’m 18 now, I plan on going this summer with a few friends to experience this amazing rock festival. I would say the only thing I fear about going is getting stuck in a mosh pit and not being able to get out. A mosh pit is when a bunch of people get into a big circle and mosh (run into each other).  The Warped Tour 2017 announcement lineup should be around April or March. I have high exceptions for this festival since I’ve heard so much of it.
