An all time favorite Thanksgiving desert is Pumpkin Cheesecake. Pumpkin cheesecake is a creamy mixture between pumpkin pie and original cheesecake. They are very good separate, but together they are amazing. Although, pumpkin cheesecake can be a complicated dessert to perfect it is a dessert many should learn how to make.

William A. Mitchell was the first to ever bake pumpkin cheesecake in 1911. Mitchell has also created some well known candy’s people eat to this day. Now on October 21st all around the world people celebrate National Pumpkin Cheesecake day, but back in the day pumpkin cheesecake used to just be a sundae.

Many people make swirls in their pumpkin cheesecake. They also add fruits, chocolate, fruit sauce, or whip cream to top it off. The pumpkin cheesecake is made the same way original cheesecake is made it just has different ingredients added to it. Many people may not know that pumpkin cheesecake contains real pumpkin, and not just pumpkin flavor. Since pumpkin cheesecake includes real pumpkin it can be difficult for people to make because good pumpkins are not the easiest thing to track down.

There are many different types of cheesecake, but by adding pumpkin people can add a fall flavor to make the holidays even more enjoyable by enjoying an American classic.
