Toy Drive at Elementary
The elementary school student council has put together a toy drive.
Anthony Mason, a member of student council and who is in fifth grade is participating in the toy drive. “Kids are bringing in toys and coloring books, crayons, and other materials for the toy drive,” said Mason. He went to the dollar tree and got a few Barbie dolls, toy soldiers, little cars, and other items, to donate himself.
“We were asked to wear reindeer ears or Santa hats,” said Mason.
The toy drive will be taking place December 12th-16th at the elementary school.
The toy drive will help the kids understand that helping other is a good thing to do. “I really like helping other people,” said Mason. The children will continue to bring gifts in even after the fourteenth. The fourteenth is when the student council members will not be in the lobby taking gifts anymore.
That does not mean that they will stop taking gifts. You can send them in with your children, to the teachers until December 16th.
For this drive, they would love all donations and as many as they can get. They will take toys, coloring books, crayons, markers, colored pencils, and many more toys or craft, or items.
It does not have to be an expensive toy, it can be a dollar store toy, just something for the little angles to be excited about.
