Many students are nervous about what is to come for college. Deciding on where to go or how to pay for college are very difficult tasks students are trying to figure out.

The juniors will take the PSATs this coming Wednesday. Although, PSATs are not submitted, they are quite similar to what they will later take or may have already taken. An SAT score is very important, and students need to start preparing if they have not already. College could decide whether they wish to have you at their school or not based off your scores. So, depending on the score someone receives, it could have a big impact on where a student goes. It really is in the best interest of the student to practice and do well on the PSATs to see where they stand.

Morgan Spencer is a senior and is very nervous and worried about what she is going to do for college although, she still has some final decisions to make.

“I do not have any money saved up, and I do not know how much money I will receive in scholarships. I also do not know how am I am planning on paying tuition,” Spencer said. “I do not know for sure what college I am going to but, I do have it narrowed down to four. I am really hoping for an acceptance letter towards one so I could make a decision.”

Morgan also has had some college visits to help her decide on which college is best for her.

“I have visited Waynesburg University at a CSI camp they held and Robert Morris,” she said. “I am not going on any other college visits because I have where I want to go in mind. My choices are Penn State Fayette, Waynesburg University, Robert Morris and W&J. I hopefully, will get an acceptance letter from one of those to finalize my decision.”

Seniors still have some time left to make some decisions. Seniors have the assistance of Collegeboard and BigFuture, college help websites, to show the perfect colleges for them. Many students are looking at what scholarships they are qualified for and, what they need to do to qualify for more. If they have a scholarship it could help take the stress off of the finical point of college and, lessons their worries.
