AP decisions
AP exams are slowly approaching and students should be deciding whether they are for you or will you take the final provided by the teacher.
You should think about cost when deciding whether or not to take the exam. The cost of one AP exam is $93 and if you plan on taking more than one, like some of the students, it is important to take your time with your decision. If you decided to take the AP exam(s) they could end up paying off if you score the right score. ”I took both government and psychology AP tests. I would say it’s worth it because if you got a good score it can really help. And it gives you An A on the course,” said Vandivner, a student. Just think to yourself, am I ready for this exam. If you are thinking about taking the English exam, think if you are a strong writer or good at multiple choices and if you excel in one of those, you might want to take it. If you are okay or not good in both maybe the AP exam is not for you and just the school given final.
If you pass the AP exam it could help you save money. The average college course fees vary from $375, $600, or $725 per course. If you are taking the exam that is only $93 and you get the credit if you score the score your choice of college will accept. It depends on what score your choice of college require. Some require a three, a four, and some even a five.
Some of these colleges accept 3s on the exam like, WVU, Michigan, etc. Some require a four like Robert Morris, Some require a higher score than both of those but if you think you can achieve it then go for it. If you decide to take them make sure you study for them or just the one you will take. “I read over the books and made notes,” said VanDivner. “No it was horrible, but I am glad I took them,” said VanDivner about retaking the AP exams. So I asked a few students around if they were taking the classes and what exams. Eight out of Nine students said yes they will take it and one was not sure. Four of them are taking the English exam. Three of them are taking the psychology exam. Three of them are taking the government exam. Some of the students are taking more than one exam.
So high school and AP students start deciding whether to take the exam(s) just study and make sure you are ready for the exams and feel confident. Make sure your schools score is not out of reach for your confidence. If you think you can achieve that’s score go for it.
