Christmas is the Time for Helping
I give back in many ways during the Christmas season to a lot of people. One way is my church gets shoe boxes and fills them with gifts. The boxes are already wrapped, and people stay after the services to fill them. The boxes are for boys and girls from age 2 to 10.
You can also donate money to help the shoe boxes send to wear they need to go. I did this a few weekends ago, and everyone looked extremely happy to help. It takes a lot of food, toys, and people to get this together and we full filled our goal. It took around 3 hours to fill all the boxes, but with help from my church and another close by we achieved it.
Another way I help people during the Christmas season is to go shopping for families. People go out to Wal-Mart and shop for a family or two. You usually get assigned depending on your preference. My family and I usually do the bigger families that no one wants to do. It is so much fun to go around Wal-Mart and pick out gifts for each kid.
Not only can you shop for the families you can even personally send them to them. My grandparents one time drove to give the family the gifts, and my grandma always tells me how excited they were to get the gifts. Their eyes were even filled with tears. That is why I give during the happiest time of year.
